Rotation Programs & TPD Settings

The watch winder offers a fixed TPD: 2880 TPD (Turns Per Day). It has 4 rotation modes: Clockwise (CW), Counter-Clockwise (CCW), Bi-Directional rotation, or Bi-Directional rotation, allowing you to match the requirements of a wide range of automatic watches.

Clockwise (CW) Mode

The watch winder will rotate clockwise under Clockwise Mode. It will rotate for 2 minutes, then stop for 6 minutes. and rotate 8 circles per minute, so 2880 circles in 24 hours.

Counter-Clockwise (CCW) Mode

This watch winder will rotate clockwise under the counter-clockwise mode. It will rotate for 2 minutes, then stop for 6 minutes. and rotate 8 circles per minute, so 2880 circles in 24 hours.

Bi-Directional Mode

The watch winder operates in alternating clockwise and counterclockwise rotations. It rotates clockwise for 2 minutes, then stops for 6 minutes, followed by a counterclockwise rotation for 2 minutes, and then pauses for another 6 minutes. This cycle repeats continuously. The winder completes 8 rotations per minute, resulting in a total of 2,880 rotations over a 24‑hour period.

Non-intermittent Bi-Directional Mode

In this mode, the winder rotates clockwise for 5 minutes and counterclockwise for 5 minutes, repeating this cycle for 3 hours, then rests for 9 hours. It delivers 2,880 rotations per 24 hours (1,440 each direction). Ideal for regular routines and powerful enough for complex movements like the 7750.

Choosing the Right Setting

For optimal performance, we recommend following the rotation direction specified by your watch manufacturer. If that information is unavailable, the Non-intermittent Bi-Directional Mode is a worry‑free choice for most automatic watches. It effectively resolves many winding issues and works reliably with the vast majority of modern movements.

Safe for Automatic Watches

A common concern among collectors is whether a watch winder can damage a mechanical watch. The answer is no. Modern automatic watches are designed to regulate the energy stored in the mainspring, preventing damage from normal winding activity. A watch winder simply simulates the natural motion of daily wear and will not harm a properly functioning movement.

Low-Magnetic Motor Technology

Our watch winders use low-magnetic precision motors combined with a magnetic-isolation design. The motor assembly is positioned at a safe distance from the watches, helping minimize magnetic exposure while providing reliable and quiet operation.

If Your Watch Is Not Fully Wound

If a watch is not maintaining sufficient power reserve, the cause may be related to movement characteristics, winding direction, TPD settings, or the condition of the movement itself. In many cases, the watch winder is not the primary cause. Please refer to our FAQ section for troubleshooting guidance.

Starting a Stopped Watch

A watch winder is designed to maintain a running automatic watch, not to rapidly build a full power reserve from a completely stopped condition. If your watch has stopped, we recommend manually winding it several turns before placing it into the winder. Once an initial power reserve has been established, the watch winder can keep the watch running and ready to wear.

Product Questions

Yes. Our winders support most automatic watches, including top brands like Rolex, Omega, Cartier, IWC, Breitling, Hublot, Tudor, and Panerai. The adjustable pillow fits both men’s and women’s watches.

This watch winder is engineered for upright vertical use to deliver optimal winding results. Horizontal positioning is not recommended, as it may compromise its winding efficiency.

Absolutely. Its power adapter features a universal wide voltage input range of 90V to 250V, so it functions seamlessly with 240V mains power used across Europe.

Sure! Each rotor on our multi-slot watch winder works independently, so you can switch each one on or off separately for flexible use.

Most likely yes! Our watch winders work with almost all automatic mechanical watches, including Rolex, Omega, Cartier, IWC, Breitling, Hublot, Tudor, Panerai, and many more. Plus, our adjustable pillows fit both men's and women's watches nicely.

Nope, not a chance. Modern automatic watches have built-in slip clutches to prevent overwinding. And our winders run in cycles with rest periods, just like wearing your watch normally — so it's totally safe.

We use premium Japanese Mabuchi motors — super durable, quiet, and long-lasting. Some models even come with advanced brushless DC motors for smoother and more precise winding.

Most automatic watches need between 650 and 1,000 turns per day (TPD), but it depends on the movement. Our winders let you choose from multiple TPD settings, so you can easily find the right one for your Rolex, Omega, Breitling, TAG Heuer, or other luxury watch.

Very quiet! With Japanese Mabuchi motors and brushless DC tech, the noise level is typically below 5 dB. You can put one in your bedroom, office, or walk-in closet without being bothered.

We've got you covered with an 18-month warranty and free maintenance. If there's any manufacturing defect within the first month, we'll replace it for free.
